Confidence shouldn't be over-thought.

Confidence feels like such a personal subject. Are you confident? How do you feel when someone asks you that? You may answer you feel confident. And then the question may become more specific: Are you confident to speak on a stage in front of 200 people?
Are you confident to network in a room of strangers?
Are you confident to make friends or go on a date?
For a lot of people these subjects are very personal and the answer to the questions is often "no". I.e. they do not feel confident. So what changed? In general they are confident but given more specific circumstances self-doubt and a lack of confidence creep in. Perhaps the only thing that changes is the story in your head? What self-talk is happening when you think about these or other subjects in the context of confidence. This is what a skilled confidence coach will encourage you to think about and this then follows the reframing or reprogramming the self-talk so you can increase your confidence and reduce the self-imposed doubt.
